What Yonsei is like
- Sinchon is built around student life: affordable food, late opening hours and lots of places to study or meet.
- You can walk to campus from much of the area, and the main shopping streets are compact.
- Neighboring Ewha, Hongik and Sogang mean a big, mixed student crowd in the surrounding blocks.
Getting around
- Sinchon Station on Line 2 is the main stop, and the Gyeongui–Jungang Line has its own Sinchon station close to the campus's side entrances.
- Line 2 connects to Hongik University and Ewha Womans University, each a short ride away.
- Some Yonsei programs run at the Songdo International Campus in Incheon — check which campus your classes are on before choosing where to stay.
Good to know
- The area closest to the station is lively into the night; blocks nearer the campus and Yeonhui-dong side tend to be calmer.
- Because many students rent around here, popular stays near term start fill early — book as soon as your dates are set.
