What Haeundae is like

  • The beach and sea-front promenade are the main draw, busiest in summer.
  • Restaurants and cafés cover seafood, Korean and international food.
  • Dongbaek Island and the coastal walking routes are close by.

Getting around

  • Haeundae Station is on Busan Metro Line 2. Line 2 also runs through Centum City and Seomyeon, the city's main transfer point.
  • Busan's metro is smaller than Seoul's, so check the walk from a room to the nearest station.

Good to know

  • Beach streets are very busy in summer; ask about noise if you sleep lightly.
  • Haeundae is on the east side of the city, so trips to central Busan or the university districts take a while.
